When i run prime 95 my cpu instantly throttles. Im reading about a contact frame for this cpu that people use. Could not having one be causing this?

Raptor lake cpus are a bit of a pain to set up. Id start by locking the cores, start at 5.7 on the p cores and 4 on the ecores. Then undervolt as far as you can. Your cpu and cooling setup are going to determine what numbers you end up locking in, dont be afraid of a little trial and error ans do some research on YouTube ect. A contact frame does share a few degrees off. What cooler do you have?

I have a royal knight 120.

This is the issue, you need a 360mm aio imo. However, lock the cores and undervolt to see where that gets you. If you really dont want to pay out for a cooler you will need to power limit the cpu.

Did you have the latest bios ver? Older bios ver will make these intel cpu's cook themselves.
