Dishwasher was leaking onto subfloor below and just noticed. What should my next steps be

Depending on how soft the floor is there, you might need to replace the subflooring. That’s the radical solution though

Yes I have heard of mold. It’s dry and not moldy.

I agree. This looks very much like the subfloor in our bathroom from a leaking toilet flange. We had a solid quarter inch of play up and down in the flooring when we ripped it all out. Enough the grout between the tiles was coming apart.

I would get a dehumidifier there asap to draw out the moisture. Maaaaaybe you can get away with only having to replace that section of boards? The joists don’t look bad to me. But inside the corner on the right looks damaged. I would talk to a contractor

if the floor's not spongy yet i'd just keep drying it out and watch it for a couple weeks, no point tearing things open if it's solid

Just pull out the dishwasher and replace the plywood subfloor. No cosmetic fix is going to fix the damage.

You can be like me and just leave the floor rotten after the leak is fixed. Ours has enough support left that the dishwasher is fine and doesn’t sag. When we eventually redo the kitchen we will replace that floor. Dishwashers don’t weigh a lot when empty

Happened to us, we wanted a new kitchen floor anyways (plank vinyl) so used the demo opportunity to get to that sub floor upstairs (was our fridge water line leaking). The whole subfloor there was shot, so I had to cut it out down to the joists and put a all new sheet of subfloor in. Then we put down an acrylic/latex primer and used self leveling compound to level our whole kitchen floor, then put the plank vinyl down. Did the demo/leveling and subfloor repair ourselves for about $800, and new floor install was $2500 (contracted that). This will be harder to do under a dishwasher...

I had a dishwasher leak and while I don’t have anything immediately helpful to add I now have a drip pan under my new dishwasher along with a moisture detector - cheap insurance worth adding once you do replace the leaking one

Once it’s a dry as it’ll get… stab all the areas with a long screw driver. You’ll find out real quick how soft or rotted the subfloor and joists are- don’t forget to rim joist and mud sill. And when he pulls the dishwasher out from under the counter do the same and look for mold on the drywall etc. You’ll want to blast that area with a fan too and maybe spray for mold.
