My dog destroys soft toys in minutes. What are your most indestructible toy recommendations?

my dog the same way, nothing soft survive 5 minutes. benebone is okay but mine get bored of the taste after few days. what work best for us is those black rubber toys, the extreme ones for strong chewers. they last months not minutes

The black Kong toys have survived 3 months with my dog with some minor teeth marks. It probably helps that I put the Kong ez cheese stuff in it before loading it with regular kibble and a few treats, so she has to do a lot of licking instead of chewing to get the tasty stuff out

I have to second the Goughnuts idea. We adopted a power chewer and he needs something to sink his teeth into. He has black Kong solid rubber balls for the yard and goughnuts for inside. He also has a goughnuts work to eat that gets filled with kibbles and treats that he gets at bedtime. Goughnuts has replaced his toys that he's been able to chew through.

I’d recommend learning to sew. My dogs will destroy a plush toy in a day, but really aren’t interested in the tough ones. I hypothesize this is because they can’t destroy them therefore it’s less satisfying. But, if you stitch up the soft one and give them another go, you get a lot more mileage out of them.

Might I recommend tearrable. It's a dog toy with Velcro limbs. It's meant for you to actively play with your dog. They get to tear it apart and you just put it back together again and again. If you watch the video on their website (it's a little weird but it's a great concept) they say after your done playing give your dog something they can eat I give mine a bully stick.

Goughnuts is the best brand I can suggest but it will be hit or miss if your dog will be into it. Hard items (yak chews, antlers) WILL (not might, will) crack your dog's teeth and will eventually require extraction. "Indestructible" toys might mean you leave a dog alone with said toy -- any toy that a strong chewer has is a risk for obstruction if they pull off large enough chunks. It can happen quick. Let me tell you from personal experience, both surgeries are expensive and will put you through a profound amount of stress. Frozen carrots are great. Watching your dog while he destroys stuffies is just part of the fun. I like kong's wubba and knot toys when I am feeling spendy. Their rumblers are fun too but my dog is way too good at pulling little chunks off

Tuffy mega stuffed toys are the only stuffie my dogs didn’t rip to shreds immediately. Dinosaur eggs on Amazon are the longest-lasting plastic toys I’ve found (several months). IMPORTANT NOTE: I learned a 5k lesson about hard plastics and tennis balls. My dog used to chew on the hard plastic bones like nylabones and had to have oral surgery bc she destroyed several teeth. My oral specialist vet told me as long as you can make a mark with your fingernail in the toy, it’s ok, but if you can’t, throw it away.

Our dog is a professional toy destroyer lol. 😅 He also has a huge need to chew. I did a bit of research and ended up buying some Benebone chew toys. It's worth checking first though, because very hard chew toys aren't recommended for dogs with an extremely strong bite. But for our Samoyed, they've been working really well so far!

Mine likes empty plastic water bottles, when he's destroyed one, I just replace it with the next empty.

Honestly. I've been buying a multitude for my bulldog for years. He's 5, and by far the one that has lasted the longest is a whale, by the brand Tuff love. Much like kids though, I conveyed to my dog to knock it off when destroying it. Be gentle. Instead of ripping it up in seconds he seems to be using it as a soothing/sucking toy and it has lasted a VERY long time now. I also reward good playing behavior, and a lot of his toys now last a long time, despite being played with a lot. Also the KONG Jumbler Ball Dog Toy. It is a large semi transparent "ball" with handles that can be easily carried or tossed... and it has a tennis ball trapped inside it. My dog has a crazy bite strength, but despite trying for something like a year, he's not even close to breaking into it. Now he just loves playing chase/toss with it with us. Trying to get to the tennis ball was his fascination at first. He loves both so much I'd buy him new ones in an instant. The whole thing squeaks when chewed/squeezed hard enough.. which just adds to it.

The only toy she won't destroy is her brother.

You might try an Everlasting Treat Ball. My dog was a major chewer but for some reason, the soft ball part never got chewed up. You insert these flavored disks in each side. Kings also lasted a very long time. If you were only looking for a soft toy, she loved a stuffed sheepskin toy, shaped like a gingerbread man. I think she could have gotten the stuffing out, but she loved it and was very gentle with it!

My dog will destroy and (attempt to) eat anything soft or even stringy, so plushies and rope toys are out. He will tear the fluff off tennis balls. The most durable ones are rubber balls, can't remember the brand, and a kong.

The ones from Kong are the only ones that have lasted in my house. I have one Kong toy about 5 yrs old. Winter outside a few seasons and the squeaker still works. Its a ball shaped one with a handle on each side for chewing or tug of war.

Fluff & Tuff brand - they were the only soft toys that my dogs did/could not instantly destroy

Same. I got mine that Black Kong Bone that lasted him almost 2 years. But once he broke it, I got him a new one and he broke it in a few days. It’s like he figured how to break it. Also he’s not as interested unless it’s a plush toy.

Tuffy toys scale 9 or 10 My pup also loves repurposed fire hose toys! We had one that lasted for over a year before he finally destroyed it.

In terms of plushies, Kong Toughz are the longest lasting ones that I’ve found! Plushies will always get destroyed more than rubber / hard toys, but my dog unfortunately only likes soft squeaky ones

I buy a stuffy here and there just as a special treat, but no stuffy will last in our household more than a few minutes. I've tried all the different super tough brands. It just buys another 15 minutes. It's like throwing money in the trash. My dogs have toys meant for aggressive chewers like kongs. They always have bones/chews available too.

I keep saying this one, Kong Jumbler Ball. Seriously, one of the best toys I have purchased. Apart from chewed handles, it's survived really well. Ball still squeaks and my dog hasn't chewed through to the ball inside. The large one is great, but the smaller ones are good too. There is an American football shaped one that my boy absolutely loves. Takes it to bed he loves it so much. Definitely recommend.

Woofbite rubber stick has held up since December and only just now getting ready to retire, it's made of natural rubber so its very similar to a Kong and won't hurt their teeth, I won't use anything hard for that reason. Joyhound Rip Roarin Tough soft toys have held up better than anything else I've tried (Including the ballistic and fire hose plushies we've tried). I keep those outside and use them for playtime but he's not allowed to really chew on them or they would be eaten also. But at least these will last a few weeks instead of a few minutes and I get them on clearance a lot.
