What lawn mower and snowblower should I buy

I have roughly $5k to spend on a lawn mower and a snowblower for my new house. What would you buy? We have about a 1/3 acre of lawn. I have been using an old self-propelled lawn mower but it's about 20 years old and is falling apart. So either this year or next I will buy a new one. If you had $5k to spend between snow and lawn what would you buy? Edit: I live in MN so snow can be a big issue some winters. I would like both a riding mower and a 2 stage snowblower. Is this possible for my budget?

How much snow do you get? Electric if you get dustings, single stage toro if the mas is 8 to 10, and 2 stage...you would already have a 2 stage if you need a 2 stage. I have a single stage toro in nj and love it. 18 years old and still going. I would splurge for the electric start when it needs to be replaced.
I just edited the post with location (MN). I think 2 stage is what I want and need.
To me I think it's more about the time saving (push vs riding). I have a fence and sidewalks around the property so moving around and covering all areas of the lawn typically take me over an hour. I would rather save more of that time with a riding mower so I can put it towards other areas of the landscaping and home maintenance.
Get a robot! Much cheaper than a riding mower and they do the job just fine.

Ariens 28 SHO is what I was looking at the most. But I have not really considered an electric snowblower until now. I wonder if going mower+blower in the same brand would give me more battery flexibility
I've seen a few robot mower recommendations. The problem is we basically have 2 yards with the fence. And I don't want to have to deal with leaving the gate open (we have dogs) or moving the robot. The front is about half the size of the back so it is sizable but not the majority. I'll look into them though because the idea is definitely interesting
I agree with Ego if the OP wants battery power. The 22-in mowers are great. The OP could even go for the new 30-in mower. I believe Lowe's has the 22-in mower with a 10 amp hour battery currently on sale for $769 I have the 28 inch ego snowblower and it works fantastic for my driveway. I have roughly 35-40 car spaces. I also have a Toro snowblower as backup, but I use the ego 90% of the time. Fyi, ego has a new snow blowers coming out this month.
Oh interesting I'll have to take a look at the new line. Do the lawn mowers and snowblowers typically share a battery system? I think the only reason I'd go electric is for an all together system like Ego (assuming they share batteries)
I have a bit over 1/3 of an acre and use a battery operated push mower. I’ve added a lot of gardens over the years and it now takes me a bit over a hour to mow, but I have lots of stuff to mow around. YMMV. I look at it as a way to get my steps in, but if you don’t have objects to mow around and don’t care about steps, then go for the riding mower. Last year I switched from a gas mower to a battery one. I found over the years that everything involved with a gas mower added stress to my plate—getting gas, stabilizing gas, checking the oil, changing the oil, changing the spark plug, changing the filter, making sure everything was ready for the winter, blah, blah, blah. The battery mower: charge the battery, insert the battery, mow. Period. No waiting for a mower to cool off so it can be put away after I’ve mowed. That’s it. I’ll never willingly go back to a gas powered anything.
You need a two stage. Ariens or Honda.
I’ve been very impressed with Ego products. I have both the self propelled lawnmower and 2-stage snowblower. The self propelled lawnmower will be great for that size yard. I assume the snowblower will be fine too because I live in Minnesota with a big ass driveway and it works for me.
Hello fellow neighbor. We got an Ariens snow blower and it has been a lifesaver for all the snow we get. I hurt my back really bad a few years ago shoveling and finally bought one. I cannot believe I waited so long to buy one. And when you get that wet heavy snow it's a real back breaker. It has an electric start. Starts right up every year no problem. Just make sure you use the gas without ethanol in it. Kwic Trip sells it. As for a lawn mower I have seen people have good luck with the Milwaukee and Ego. I would think with a lawn that size you would have no issues. If my lawn was smaller that's the route I would have gone. Easier than dealing with gas, oil, etc over time. You might be able to pick up something used for a good price this time of year. I have been seeing a lot of used mowers and snow blowers at garage sales lately.
You can get away with standard push mower. I will get down voted but I like gas mowers. I haven't had good experiences with electric mowers plus I am more familiar with fixing gas mowers. Now for your snowblower I would spend money there. I live down south so I don't have anything to recommend but I'd spend money on your snow blower for sure.

For 1/3 acre you could spend a total of under $1k. But if you want to spend money like that get a Yarbo and let it do the lawn and snow for you
$5k and 1/3 acre? If it were me and the landscape allowed for it: * 2 stage snowblower * GPS/RTK robot mower for most of the lawn * Smaller battery mower for touch-ups and spots you don't want the robot to do (like the sidewalk) I'm on an acre and have a Luba 3 AWD robot mower now for the back of the lawn, while I bang out the front with my riding mower. I absolutely adore the Luba 3 and how much time it's saved me.
I just replaced my self propelled toro with another. I went with toro super recycler 21 inch deck. My last one gave me 18 years. I hope I get as many out of this one. Two or so years in and so far so good.
For 1/3 acre I'd probably try to see if battery/electric is reasonably priced.
Also in MN: EGO 2 stage snowblower and a robot lawnmower I got a ego 21 inch self propelled lawn mower because my budget was 2k
What does your future buying potential look like, how much storage space do you have, driveway length, and how much do you like exercise? I'd probably go Ego 2 stage and push mower, but if you want a rider sometime and you won't have more money saved before it becomes critical, you can get a new or slightly used gas model mower and blower for cheaper to get a nice garden tractor. If you can save more for a rider, the 2 I mentioned are still around $3k so it leaves you enough to buy an acceptable rider now or a nice one later. Or if you are happy push mowing you could add some ego tools (weed whip, blower, etc) and still pocket some money. I'm typically a Milwaukee guy, but Ego seems like the right move for mower/blower.
Personally I'd find an 80's or 90's Wheel Horse or Cub Cadet or Deere garden tractor with a mower and get the snowblower attachment for it, it'll probably outlast any new riding mower you can buy. New, I'd probably opt for a Toro Timemaster. Not sure I'd buy a new rider. I'd consider a 36" used walk behind too from Ferris/Exmark/Scag or someone like that. I don't know much about other snowblowers. I don't get much snow so I just push it with a blade.
YouTube has plenty of videos comparing gassers v electric. Nothing lasts if you don't maintain it, I imagine gasssers will outlast electric in general if maintained. Change oil yearly, drain fuel at end of season and put in a bit of Stabil Electric keep batteries indoors during extreme temps
I would get a riding lawnmower and add a plow to the front. You can add bagger, dethacher and other pieces.
Get a riding mower with a snowblower off FB marketplace.
