No signal issue after new gpu install

Issue: PC powers on but gets no signal to the monitor at all. Specs: - CPU: Ryzen 7 1500X - GPU: Originally RX 550, recently upgraded to RX 6500 XT - RAM: 12GB (2 sticks) - PSU: Recently replaced with a new unit - OS: CachyOS (Linux) (Sorry if the wording or grammar is confusing, I’m a teenager so I don’t really know what I am doing) I bought a 6500xt. took my old gpu (rx550) out and replaced it with the rx6500xt. I turn on my pc and I got a no signal error on my monitor, didn’t even boot up or anything just straight to no signal, I confirmed I connected it to the gpu, I made sure it was firmly seated, tried all the input sources, tried a different hdmi cable, everything looks and sounds good during boot. So I looked it up. Told me to about like 4G Decoding or something in the bios but I couldn’t do that because I had no signal, put my old card back in and I got the same issue. Then I reset the cmos on my motherboard and still nothing. New power supply didn’t work either. I’ve honestly ran out of things to try. Please help!

I've done this before and it bricked my motherboard. Are you able to try with a different (working) motherboard?
Yeah I thought I might be my motherboard. I don’t have an extra one because this is my only computer. I’m thinking of maybe taking it to a shop, idk
Yup, tried different cables and made sure it’s in the right spot. I even tried a different monitor and I got the same issue. I tried with both gpus
Wait, just checking do you get ANY signs of life from the PC? Or is it entirely dead?
does the motherboard have debug leds and if u want id probably reseat all connectors and maybe ram, as the weirdest things happen
I don’t think it’s the gpu because it happens with the new and old one. I’m guessing it’s the motherboard but I wanted to see what other people thought.
it sounds as if the hdmi/display port isnt connected to the gpu to th monitor, if u are sure one of them is connected, try a new cable
Bring the gpu to a repair shop to see if the problem is the gpu. If not, then maybe it's the mobo dying.
