Help me choose which to upgrade first Ram or Gpu?

used GPU. maybe like an RX 6600xt or RX 2070/2080.

Does the gpu gb matter much?

Yes, but that's not the primary thing to consider. You want overall performance, which you're not going to find on a spec sheet. Check out Tom's Hardware GPU hierarchy.

99% of the time no. You're looking at a budget GPU so it really shouldn't matter as long as you have 8gb vram. If you found like an RX 6700 in budget which has 10gb vram that'd certainly be ideal, I dunno what they sell for nowadays. I doubt a 2080 Ti is that cheap. I'd only look at RTX 2000 and newer, or RX 6000 and newer.
