What car brands still have blindspot cameras on the mirrors? For potentially getting an older car what years would have this feature?
I ask not for me but for my boyfriend who was trying to trade in his car but Honda said that because of a lawsuit newer cars don't have the feature. I am not debating if that is true or not we just want to know what cars still offer this feature.

Hyundai still offers it on most of their crossovers and has for at least 5-6 yeas.
Can confirm, my 2025 Tucson Limited has them.
It was at least around in 2021 cause my BF currently has a 2022 Honda Civic

I think Honda quietly killed that feature around 2020 or so, something about a patent dispute with some tech company Older Acuras had it too since they’re basically Hondas, look at the 2018-2020 TLX or RDX models, pretty sure those had the camera in the passenger mirror. Hyundai and Genesis put it in a bunch of their cars during the same era, the Santa Fe and G80 come to mind. Kia might have it on some Telluride trims but I can't remember which years If you're shopping used just check for a little camera bulge under the mirror housing, that's the giveaway
My 2020 Accord (Canadian model) has it on the passenger-side mirror, but not the driver's side.
Tesla's have had them for a while but for you it's mostly interesting that any Model 3 from 2018+ has them. For a long time they didn't do what you want, but sometime around 2022 or so they had them show live video when you turn the blinker on. You can also just always have them up if you want. If there is a car near you the video feed will have a bright red overlay on the side of the video where the car is. Of course it will also just drive you too as well as loud audible beeps if you try to turn into the car. Notice the visilization at the bottom of the image I linked. The car knows where ALL cars are around your car.
In some markets (where e-bikes, mopeds, etc) are very popular Honda still offers lane watch as it’s more effective for those vehicles than just bsi alone

2026 Forester can have it depending on the trim level and options. I would assume that you can get them on most Subarus.
My 2016 gonna Civic EX Sedan has it on the passenger side mirror.
I search for this high and low when swapping cars. After much research you’re only going to find this on Hyundai, Genesis, Tesla & Kia.
My 2024 F150 has cameras. I’d gladly trade them for the convex mirrors I had on my 2018. The Blind Spot monitor is a definitely a step backwards, especially when merging onto an interstate.
Most do except Volvo and Subaru and some Nissans come to mind as having them inside the vehicle. My 25 Mazda 3 and 22 RAV4 both have them in the mirror. My previous vehicles: 2018 Malibu, 2022 Kia K5, and 2023 Chevy Blazer had them in the mirrors themselves

My 2025 Chevy Trax has it and it's available on the 2026, not standard on any trim but comes in one of the available packages. At a guess some Honda salesman doesn't have the foggiest and is making something up to explain the lack.
