Need to solve my bookmarks

I've been using GoodLinks for over a year now and it's literally the only app where I've managed to build a workflow that actually works for me. But here's the thing – it stopped syncing between my Mac and iPhone a while back and it's driving me crazy. I've hit up the devs and support multiple times with zero response. At this point I'm just gonna look for something to replace it. I've been thinking about using a not

Hotspot Guide: Wi-Fi rescue for travelers

Problem: I have made over 14 apps over the last 6 years. I got my first-ever MacBook Air after graduating college and have held a developer account ever since. Whenever I have a new app idea, I always look to see if the problem I am trying to solve is both solved, and solved in a way that I like. Sometimes one is true, sometimes both are true, and I buy the app and never have to build the app in the first place! I co

Looking for a Mac Markdown editor similar to Typora, but fully Mac native.

I really like Typora, but would prefer something completely Mac native and not an Electron app. Needs to support Typora's live preview as you type. Willing to buy, not willing to rent, so no subscriptions. Has to be a standalone edtor, so things like Bear and Obsidian are out.

6 sticky note apps later and I'm starting to think the perfect one is a myth - HELP

Looking for the perfect desktop sticky note app (I've tried everything) This is going to be hilariously long, given how simple of a tool this is (or should be), but I promise you if you knew the workflow and everything that I use these for, it would make a lot more sense. I need a macOS sticky note app that floats on my desktop above everything, looks good, and lets me format my notes the easy way. Every app I've tri

Bartender Enters a New Era with Top Shelf

For the past few weeks, I've been beta testing a new release of Bartender; an app with an interesting, and at times slightly controversial, history. Despite that, it's a utility I've relied on for years. I recently did a deep dive into the problems macOS changes have created for menu bar managers and what those changes mean going forward. Even with a few lingering issues in the category, I still came away viewing Bar

Fast tab switcher for ADHD macOS users

Hi r/macapps, I’m the indie developer of fasttab.theindie.app, a source-available macOS app for finding and jumping back to browser tabs, bookmarks, history items, and recent Finder folders from one shortcut. Problem: I built FastTab because I have ADHD and kept losing focus while switching between too many open tabs. The issue was not that I needed another general launcher. I usually knew the tab or link I wanted, b

I work in Finder all day, every day. I have to review and save 100 documents a day. The ONLY thing I miss from Windows is the finder. Looking for a replacement for Presbutan for MacOS

Presbutan hasnt been updated in ages and seeing as in MacOS Golden Gate the app no longer runs since its runs through rosetta and that is going away, can anyone recommend a replacement for it? I like being able to use return and/or enter to open icons in the Finder, and also use the delete or forward delete keys to delete items. If anyone has suggestions, Id appreciate it.

I built a fast emoji, symbol and kaomoji picker for macOS (launch price 0.99$)

Hey everyone, I recently built CharBox (Character Picker), a small menu bar app for macOS that makes it quicker to find and copy emoji, kaomoji and unicode symbols. The idea came from getting frustrated with the default picker. It's hidden behind a shortcut I never remember, search is limited, and it doesn't cover everything. CharBox sits in the menu bar, so it's always one click away. You can: Search with keywords (

[Giveaway] OpenVox 2.0 is out - Local AI voice generation on Mac, now with Supertonic 3, better cloning, M4B audiobooks, and Local API

Hey everyone, I posted OpenVox here about a month ago when it was around v1.6.4. Since then, I’ve shipped quite a lot based on feedback from this subreddit, and OpenVox is now at v2.0.0. First, thank you. A lot of the improvements came directly from people here who tried the app, reported bugs, asked for better audiobook support, wanted faster models, requested API/automation use cases, and pointed out rough edges I

What's the non-native cross-platform apps you use on your Mac that you can't live without?

Though I use a Mac, iPhone and iPad, I also use an Android tablet and a Linux computer. Some apps I need to function across ecosystems. Dictation app that inserts text in real time?

I'm looking for a Mac dictation app that will transcribe directly into a Word document as I speak (similar to Dragon), instead of transcribing into a box which then gets inserted into the Word document once a key is pressed or released. I need an app that runs locally only - no cloud anything. Preferably FOSS. Any suggestions to try out?
